Emirates is ending its daily Brisbane-Singapore-Dubai flight
Nov 16, 2019, 04:15 AMI remember taking the SIN-BNE leg 5 or 6 years back, and then MEL-SIN on the way back, as I wanted to fly daytime both ways and SIA was much too expensive. EK timing was fantastic, the cabins were great, and service was amazing.

RIP superjumbo: Airbus axes the A380
Feb 16, 2019, 12:13 AMI don't think the A380 was the right choice for QF, and it is reflected in why it deferred its order for the remaining 8 jets. It should have bought the 777-300ER from the start; if it had a fleet of 20-25 such jets, I imagine its network would now extend deeper into North America with multiple d...

Qantas non-stop 20 hour London, New York flights to have cafes, gyms
Jan 28, 2019, 01:09 AMThe existing forward cargo hold on SIA's A350ULR is permanently blocked off to cargo in order to achieve the range the planes need. If QF ever wants a chance of flying SYD-LHR, it must do the same. A walk-up bar or cafe would literally be utilizing space that wouldn't otherwise be used.

Best seats for legroom on Air New Zealand Airbus A321neo
Sep 29, 2018, 12:11 AMIncreasingly I'm finding that the only difference between budget and full service comes down to those winged headrests.

Sleeping on flights: pyjamas vs underwear or shorts only
Dec 12, 2018, 04:43 AMOriginally Posted by sgb Not entirely sure what decent folk in Y wear for sleeping attire, not sure if they bring their own PJ's or not. I thought LHR had a curfew past 11.30pm?
May 22, 2018, 01:31 PMOriginally Posted by henrus Heathrow does have a curfew between 11:30pm and 6am however they allow 5,800 movements (either a takeoff or landing per year). It seems like a lot but when you divide it by 365 it's really only 15 movements per day.Typically most of the 15 per day allotment is used on...

I thought LHR had a curfew past 11.30pm?
May 20, 2018, 02:11 PMBesides the fact that this is really horrible aircraft utilization, one other thing about this pic interests me. How come GIA was allowed to have its 77W depart LHR at close to 1am, when I thought LHR had a curfew of no flights past 11.30pm, and stories of plane-full passengers ready for deprartu...

How do I get the award rate advertised in "Where can I go?"
May 19, 2018, 01:36 PMOriginally Posted by Dredgy You need to search classic awards, NOT points+pay. On the flight search page, tick from the box "Use Points - Classic Flight Rewards Only". It will cost you 24000 points on Jetstar.28000 points on Qantas itself.35000 points on British Airways. Last edited by Dredg...

How do I get the award rate advertised in "Where can I go?"
May 18, 2018, 10:28 PMI'm a QFF member based in Indonesia, and I want to use my some 28,000 QFF points one of these days. From the 'Where can I go?' page, it is advertised Sydney-Singapore in economy is 28k + 135AUD, but when trying to actually book the rate it seems impossible to get it, with most rates (even saver o...
