• And the Jetstarisation of Qantas continues. All the latest changes, in the face of shocking customer feedback, is nothing more than changes that make more money for Qantas. Still terrible on board catering, still filthy cabin interiors and still disengaged staff.

  • Hobart has some outstanding hotels these days, with more to come.

  • Any word on where the current A330-300 on the route will be servicing instead?

  • I find it somewhat strange that Qantas never planned to return all 12 A380s to service. Their fleet is under immense pressure and although there are more aircraft on order, these are still years away.

  • Really Qantas, or should I say QantasLink? An Alliance operated Embraer with no inflight entertainment compared to a Singapore Airlines brand new 737 with all the bells and whistles. Again, Qantas is outclassed in its choice of aircraft and IFE offering.

  • Blind Freddy could see that Bonza's business model was never going to work. Flying 737 MAX aircraft, once, twice or three times per week to regional centres was destined to fail.

In the announcement, it said that a new Hobart Qantas Club would be built as part of the overall terminal redevelopment, albeit with no start date. The terminal redevelopment has just begun, so I would expect to see something within the next 12 months.

  • Well we have our answer and as expected Qantas opted for mediocrity.
