I tend to agree with the comments posted so far, first class isn't necessary with the modern business offering across the major airlines (BA excepted...its rubbish) however i disagree that the new Qantas business seat is best in class. i think VA takes the prize there with Qatar

I certainly made use of the one trip necessary, given the promotion, in my next status year to maintain platinum. LHRSYD return in business...A$2000 less than my colleague doing it the other way around! Now i can travel on CX and save even more whilst using my QF platinum and the awesome lounges ...

interesting review, shows why SQ are at or near the top of world airlines, however from you photos i think QF are still the one to beat...plastic cups dont really cut it for me with a business class drink!
