Emirates opens new business, first class lounge at Tokyo Narita Airport

Emirates passengers flying through Japan can now unwind in the airline’s brand new business class and first class lounge at Tokyo Narita Airport.

Situated in Terminal 2, it’s also welcomes selected Qantas passengers on the Red Roo’s overnight flight to Sydney, or when heading home to Brisbane from August 1.

Inside, the space follows the traditional Emirates colour palate of neutral, earthy tones, and offers seats for 174 guests.

There’s the expected selection of complimentary alcoholic beverages including Champagne, spirits and espresso coffee, along with Emirates’ gourmet buffet offering both hot dishes and chilled delights.

As with many of Emirates’ 37 other lounges, you’ll too find a business centre with computer terminals, free wireless Internet, showers, TVs and a prayer room.

Open from 5:20pm until 9:20pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 6pm through 10pm on all other days, Emirates’ new Tokyo lounge welcomes the airline’s own business class and first class passengers flying onwards to Dubai, along with its Skywards Gold and Platinum frequent flyers.

Also on the door list are business class passengers on Qantas’ Sydney flights – or QF’s Tokyo-Brisbane services from August – along with Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold, Platinum and Platinum One cardholders on the same or on an Emirates flight.

Qantas maintains its own lounge in Tokyo which welcomes those travellers listed above along with Qantas Club cardholders booked on a QF flight number.

There's no access to the Emirates lounge when flying on Qantas partner Japan Airlines, although the Qantas and Japan Airlines lounges remain available.

Fantastic to see EK opening a Business, First Lounge in Tokyo. But I reckon that this lounge would provide unlimited Wireless Internet.

Hmm any opinions as to if this is better than the QF and JL business lounges?
