• They also keep the weight down on the delivery flight so it can comfortably make it all the way. So fewer/ no pax or luggage

  • In addition to all the above, I'm guessing you purchased the cheapest economy fare which would presumably come with a bunch of restrictions on changes as well as change fees. The only person/company you could talk to is Amex Travel - the airlines paid them commission so they don't have to deal wi...

  • This is a tourist route primarily so the reliability issues of an older aircraft are arguably less important - might actually be a good fit for the ageing birds.

  • Travel suggestions for Helsinki

The Helsinki 'eye' (ie, the Ferris wheel) has one car that's a sauna so you can mix saunas and sightseeing :) Also, there is a sauna at HEL with access from the Finnair non-Schengen lounges.

  • Anecdotally the security queues are shorter at TBIT than the terminals, at least in the mornings. If you have your boarding pass for AC in Sydney (QF issued me one for AC during IRROPS, so it's possible) then the choice is yours. Suggest that if it's hot or cold or wet or the transit time is <...

I prefer facing backwards when landing as your whole back is pushed into the seat rather than having your belly squashed by the belt especially when the brakes are slammed on. • I have used my Qantas American Express Ultimate card to purchase a couple of flights through Qantas recently. According to their rules:"With the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card, you'll enjoy no cap on the amount of Qantas Points you can earn, no spend cap on your earn rate, plus we&rsquo...

  • Reward Flights from Europe July 2018

There are a million options: BKK, NRT, HND, JNB, CMB, KUL or even via North or South America.

  • You can also go the long way via LAX, SFO, DFW or YVR then BA to LHR for Premier Eco. Probably cost more points though

  • Might be worth doing some research on the lounges available in the terminals you’re using and check your eligibility.

  • FYI, you don't have to go round the world - a oneworld award ticket allows 6 stops anywhere flying oneworld airlines. There are other restrictions too (mileage, segment count, etc) but it doesn't sound like they would affect your quick trip. Actually, just re-read your itinerary and you're not go...

  • It's at about 50% for me... Love love love it when it happens. Hate hate hate it when it doesn't. Better on single sector flights, where as transfers from a connecting flight seem to have less success.
