• I'm a big Pier lounge fan personally. But know many on here will prefer the QF Lounge. It's worth noting the QF is a hybrid business / first so expect more than your conventional international lounges in Aus.

  • Singapore Air denied us boarding.

I would:Contact your financial institution and have them call back the payment to flight centre given the goods weren't recieved. Then book the flights you need and claim the cost through travel insurance.

  • QF A380 to BNE

    Aug 25, 2016, 10:28 AM

I doubt it. I think BNE-DXB-LHR could be one of those "long and thing" routes that AJ flagged the dreamliner for. But has covered below, the Emirates tie up covers a lot of the volume and the code share measures were loud and proud in yesterday's results release.

  • Buying Qantas lounge passes on eBay

    Aug 23, 2016, 12:55 PM

It's well documented that Qantas have fought the sale of these passes on ebay. I just ask "what for?" Seriously, the net gain to an individual couldn't be more than $35 per pass. We're not talking people on the poverty line either, people with high spend credit cards and high status who find the ...

  • Buying Qantas lounge passes on eBay

    Aug 22, 2016, 03:24 PM

Very true.Tight penny pinchers who wish to cash in on something for the sake of $50 less postage, less trip to the post office, less the ebay charge. End us causing Qantas to crack down on the whole system meaning you can't give them away to friends or family.

  • Hi guysWhat is the best method to utilise QF points to fly J from Syd to Milan? Would it be to buy qantas fares and upgrade? Or attempt to buy reward seats with points? Preference is ti fly EK as it becomes one stop. I'm QF gold and looking for flights next June. Thanks in advance Ausbt brains tru...

  • Best method for upgrading on QF/EK flights?

  • I wonder if a group of top tier VA frequent flyers who were unhappy with the proposed changes came together and approached Qantas about a match, if they would consider this match... Just thinking out aloud.

  • Well some nations do have special rules when it comes to a whole host of international laws and treaties. If you're exempt from repercussions of war crimes and nuclear weapon control, then a civil airline ombudsmen isn't going to be too much of a concern, hypothetically speaking of course.

  • Now i'm curious about the comment above.......

  • Hong Kong my advice is on the island. If you're after a budget but pretty decent hotel, I stayed at the Holiday Inn express Soho recently. It's about a 5 min walk from the station. The area is central to everything but immediately close to nothing on the island.Another I looked at and considered ...

  • Would a typical trip be to both cities? Or are you talking seperate trips?I'm very biased toward CX. HKG is a brilliant airport to transit through. Naturally direct is appealing but I think I'd go CX regardless.

    More likely a religious cult!

  • QF9 cancelled for 22/11/2016

    Jul 14, 2016, 04:34 PM

Serg I like your passion and comments. You speak your mind, keep it up.The benefit to Qantas is the one-stop to multiple europe destinations instead of backtracking via London which was previously the case. It's good for me. At least I can be aligned to the Qantas program and utilise this. Also, ...

  • Status run - Velocity Gold

    Jul 11, 2016, 01:39 PM

As far as a fairly direct route goes, and maximum time on VA aircraft, I would suggest SQ to DPS, VA to MEL return. Obviously the VA component is booked with VA and the SQ booked with SQ. The downside being it's on a 737.
