• Some Bellroy wallets have a coin pouch.

  • Bellroy's excellent High Line wallet fits taller notes and RRP is $100.

  • Choice also did a comparison recently and recommended Australian Seniors and American Express Travel Ultimate. They also rated the insurance that comes with the Macquarie Bank credit cards very highly as well, and that even includes one of Macquarie's no annual fee credit cards. Compared to Finde...

  • Qantas Club Melbourne - Refurbishment

    Mar 13, 2018, 06:37 PM

When I was there on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago, it was much more crowded than I'm used to. I couldn't find a seat without having to share a table, and I couldn't get one near a power point. The food service seemed to be much the same as usual though the bar/coffee was slow. However Melbou...

  • You can earn KrisFlyer points if you're flying J on Air New Zealand. If you want to credit the two sectors to different programs, you can leave the points details blank and then make separate retrospective points claims, or you could leave the booking with the Velocity number and then request that...

  • No points from ATO spend on this card any more. Bank West and Coles were some of the last to give points for ATO spend, however I think they've stopped as well.

  • No, you can't do that either; I've tried. Emirates and Qantas blame each other for not being able to do it.

Someone else posted a similar question recently, it was stopped very quietly. From memory this happened a few months ago.

  • Is it time to Switch to Air NZ

Air NZ dollars aren't great rewards points. Have you considered Singapore's Kris Flyer program? Which airline will you be flying to Europe?

You could make the booking with no frequent flyer membership details and then retrospectively claim the segments separately, though you may find that they've added your Velocity details to all flights when you check-in. In that case, you could ask in the lounge for the details to be changed, good...

  • Citicard - saga while overseas

I'm sure everyone's experience will be different, though I also left Citibank after disappointing customer service. I've had overwhelmingly positive experiences with Westpac. When my card stopped working in Sweden they arranged for an emergency card, collected from a bank in Stockholm, where I wa...

  • In Australia you'll be fine without a ticket.

  • Sydney Lounges, Qantas or Amex?

    Sep 20, 2017, 09:50 AM

The toilets in the AMEX lounge are strange, like you might expect in a park. Otherwise, the AMEX lounge is nice but as others have mentioned, it's tiny. If you can access the Qantas lounge, that's where I'd go, and save your passes for if you're traveling on an flight with no other lounge options.

  • If the flight has an AA flight number you'll be fine.
