• Last week when i was there, few americans asked me (after seeing me not tip), if it was normal not to tip in "australia". Weirdly, i had not thought of the lounge still being in america, i obviously was on my australian mindset within that lounge. I felt ashamed that i had not been tipping all th...

Can any of you share your personal hotel recommendations for 1-2 nights around Haneda, nagasaki and hiroshima, ideally more japanese and less western if possible. Thanks.

  • Better to announce Platinum one first, check and board them, and if a platinum goes up, they would be sent back etc, then you won’t have the problem of golds being part of the line. American does it very well, and locally virgin does an amazing job. QF do not mind, because they are giving a...

  • MPC Update

    Feb 17, 2024, 01:18 AM

I used Mobile Passport Control App for the first time to enter the US (via LAX) today. I was directed towards counter 43 (diplomats and crew line), two officers were in that line. Only 3 people in front of me. It took 45 seconds for those people to be cleared, and when i walked up, i showed him t...

  • QF15/16 cancellation

Looks like one of the A330's doing the BNE-AKL-BNE, BNE-LAX-BNE is out of action for the last few weeks. I have a flight with them on wednesday, which i believe is operating, but i want to check the return leg, which is coming back on the sunday from LAX, which is the one that is being cancelled....

  • Best OneWorld Option to Guangzhou

    Feb 09, 2024, 12:24 PM

I'm pretty sure China Eastern provides QF status credits, even though they are not part of OW. I have flown them twice from BNE.Other option would be to fly QF to Shanghai or Hong Kong, and fly CX, to maximise SC's or CX all the way (you get half the SC's between Australia to Hong Kong).

This is the same aircraft, that goes to LAX when it returns from AKL, so may be worth checking if the aircraft is undergoing any maintenance?

  • QF Interline with AA

    Jan 12, 2024, 10:11 AM

I have done this few times before.TBH AA is just amazing and treats QF pax very well. Even if QF does or cannot do this, once you pick up bags in LAX, as you walk towards the bag drop off, the staff there can quickly print a tag towards your final destination and make your life easier. On the way ...
