Glo hotel was quite cool. An old convent I believe, but now an art hotel. Great Italian restaurant around the corner with nice Nordic design. Design museum was interesting, as was Suolmenlinna.

Have all the older Finnair A340s with the angled-flat seats and tiny screens been sent to the glue factory in the sky now, or are some dragged back into service when needed? My A350 has been down-graded to an A340, so I'm hoping it's at least a refurb...

If you mean for cardholders, Lack of options for local use I imagine. The lack of lounge participation may have to do with pushing users into their own loyalty schemes and lack of independent lounges. 

Yes - worth being aware of. My expedia flights were approx $100 cheaper than on the airline website, but some were in lower earning buckets than if booked through the airline. Was half the points on some sectors.
