I'm having this issue atm. Have 10 seperate flights booked over the next 6 months, all various origin/destinations and simply can't find one segment to upgrade on. Saying that, the call centre is useless.

100% agree with this observation. Being velocity Platinum the call centre was always good. Calls answered quickly and they knew what they were doing.... i.e. why a Platinum flyer might be calling them.I called last week to enquire about flights where I could use my (seemingly useless) 4 upgrade...

KCTOO, if you can get the flights via another Australian port then I'd suggest snapping them up. Especially if you get a more time friendly departure. The ex BNE EK reward flights I've seen tend to be on the 1.55am departure.
