• VA Status Earn - LHR > GLA?

    Sep 12, 2016, 09:20 AM

It is possible to earn Virgin Atlantic miles by taking Virgin Trains, they operate London Euston to Glasgow and London Kings Cross to Edinburgh. Don't think you'll manage to collect any status for Virgin Australia I'm afraid. If flying via AUH isn't crazy enough, you could also fly LHR - JFK - EDI...

  • http://www.routesonline.com/news/38/airlineroute/267042/thai-delays-a350-service-entry-to-august-2016/One of the two daily flights is scheduled to switch to an A350 from 1 Aug.

  • Service begins 2 September 2016, 3 times a week initially. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Zurich; Monday, Thursday and Saturday from Singapore.

  • Emirates code-share on Oman Air's flights ex DXB, so you should be able to check your luggage all the way through, assuming your final destination is in Oman. Might not be possible if you are transitting through Muscat on to another Oman Air flight. If Emirates can manage that, your transit time i...

  • Air China, Air Canada, British Airways, Delta, Singapore Airlines, and United all operate 9 abreast seating on their B777's to SYD as well, although Air Canada are about to go 10 abreast, while United will soon bring their Dreamliner with 9 abreast seating.

  • I'm travelling with NZ in January 2015, and my booking shows they will still be operating from LAX terminal 2 then... so I would assume they don't have a confirmed moving date yet.

  • If you are flying alone, the skycouches are a very expensive option. Usually cheaper to fly premium economy yourself.Regarding the inconsistency, I'd rather fly economy on the older 777-200s, as they still offer a more spacious 3-3-3 seating layout, unlike the 777-300s and their cramped 3-4-3 arr...

  • Currently AirNZ use 747s and 777-200ERs on their AKL - SFO flights, neither of which offer the skycouch. Only the 777-300ERs offer this, and these aircraft are not scheduled to be used on SFO flights again unitl July.

  • MEL - LAX - LVS.

    Mar 23, 2014, 02:40 AM

As AndrewYes mentions, I assume you mean LAS (Las Vegas, Nevada), rather than LVS (Las Vegas, New Mexico which is not served by Delta or any other airline).Based on what you have mentioned, I assume you are flying Virgin Australia? Upon arrival at LAX you will clear immigration, collect your bags...

  • Depends on the airline, many offer a lower level of service on their turboprops than on their mainline jets, so the jets are a better option. Also depends on the aircraft. For example Dash 8s have less luggage space, less headroom, and in window seats less foot space due to the curve of the fusula...

  • Air China do not currently operate PEK - VIE, they instead code share on Austrain's flight, who operate a staggered flat bed layout in business, similar to SWISS.

  • As you mention the 787 cabin is narrower than that of the 777.I've tried United's 787, 2-2-2 layout with the same seats as their former Continental aircraft. Very comfortable, fully flat, far better than United's narrow forward / back facing seats on their Australia flights. Not flown ANA's 787 bu...

  • Correction, it is Air China who operate the PEK - IAH route, not United.

  • Given the success United have had on their new Houston to Beijing route I see no reason why DFW to HKG shouldn't be successful as well.

  • You'll find that most hotels at Heathrow offer day use rates, although you may not be able to book such rates online. However, Sofitel at T5 offers day rates online, usually available from 8am until 5 or 6pm (free connection from T3 where Qantas arrive to T5 via Heathrow Express). Or if you're on ...
