• I weep when a read my earlier entry in 2018. How things have changed! Since the electronic terminal have been installed the change is appalling - twice during 2019 we missed the connection as the queues are so long and so slow. We used to have time to have a shower and refresh, but not any ...

  • Qantas Dallas/Fort Worth lounge

    May 03, 2019, 04:16 PM

At DFW for QF8 last week. Third time in 6 months we had to use (Premium!) Lounge due to reconstruction of Q and AA lounge nearer D22. It is only slightly, and a say "slightly" better than sitting in the terminal. At least the drinks are available and free. Food virtually non-extant - not even...

  • Lounge Access USA Domestic - OW Ruby

Before we attained Gold we were amazed at the entry into Lounges on our QC Card gained us in US - really good. Even into the AA Lounge at Heathrow, which is truly an excellent Lounge. Our daughter flies to Seattle for work, and her QC card gets her into Alaskan Airlines lounges as well.

  • DFW has really worked on the interchange between QF7 and AA. We do it around 3 or 4 times a year. The actual immigration has really got its act together with electronic passport control, and the transfer of your checked luggage after customs (which isn't bad now) is excellent - you take your ba...

  • We have experienced no issues since the change at DFW when flying on to IAH with AA after QF7 or return. Later this year we will be flying QF1 to LHR and four hours later with BA to Rome; QF call centre has said there will be no problems. Equally, our daughter is flying QF to Hawaii and then ...

  • We have booked hotels in USA, Hawaii, London, Germany, Indonesia, France etc through Qantas all without any difficulties. Obviously where their options state "No refunds/cancellations etc" that applies. When we unexpectedly needed a car in Hawaii last year, even though we had flown Jetstar, we...

  • No Business Lounge Access in U.S.

Just not true. Even when flying across from Miami to Houston last October, on AA, and not associated with any QF flight, we were readily welcomed into Admirals Lounges at both Miami and Dallas with our Q Gold status, flying economy.

  • No - as mentioned above, standard (almost) universal rule is that baggage must be checked through at first city of arrival. Thus when we fly to US, bags are collected and checked by customs at LAX or DFW, and then handed across to handlers who then arrange for baggage to go to the onward flight ...

  • It has always been possible by phoning the call centre ($60), however, finally, they have finally added that as an option on the webpage. Book in economy and then when you have selected flights, you are then given an option to upgrade on each leg of your booking. Equally, book in PE and then ag...

  • Interesting as I used a voucher last year to redeem bonus stat points without a hitch. I guess only difference, I did confirm when booking that the voucher would be OK.

  • We flew back from DFW last week in 24J and 24K and 24K is terrific and 24J is really good.  Plenty o space, sidelocker, window and  no big protrusion from the exit door.   I had 24J and wasn't hit by food trolley or other passenger once.  We are coming back from DFW again in O...
