• Agree and aligned with my personal experience with many carriers re the meal service sequence across J pax.If the pre-ordering of J class meal function is available online and I hv selected it before checkin, 99% time I was served ahead of other J pax who hv not done pre-ordering on the ground.

  • I didn't know personal attack is acceptable in comments on this website while simply wandering off-topic is not.Interesting policy.

  • U "fail to see much drama" probably because U also failed to detect /notice(Nor care) how fellow pax near U in the same F cabin felt about the rendevous in your suite....just my wild guess.

  • I guess BYO cake is too much hassle for someone who can afford /eligible for whole family to fly J class.....

  • Airlines typically block popular/preferred seat rows or sections within a cabin class due to:1.  For Elite /Highest ranking FFP members.2.  For pax traveling under hi-priority corp/gov't accounts or contracts.3.  For pax paying the highest fare classes/codes available for sale in t...

<<I find 3-3-3 787 much more pleasent than a 3-4-3 777>>Your finding is consistent with the objective cabin/seat dimension data/specs.....although in reality, it may be <more pleasant> @ best instead of <<much more pleasent>>...<<But for whatever reason, I flew...

<<Which is worse? 9 abrest 787 or 10 abrest 777 economy?>>By my observation, this is THE most popular question about Y in 787 vs 350 vs 777 repeatedly asked on aviation /traveller sites worldwide.  Ironically, it's 1 of the easiest questions to find true answer(As opposed to PR v...

  • <<...QF will certainly place more orders for the B787-9..>>I'd go further to predict QF Group will convert more 787 options into firm order right after 789 1st delivery /service entry with QF in 2017(Right timing fm the CapEx /funding perspective of a typical listed airline corp). &nb...

  • <<...its more 8h45min, slightly shorter than SYD-HKG...that's not a short haul route..>>By typical industry definition, any duration @ 8hrs or longer starts to occupy the long-range/longhaul categories.  It's also near where new gen widebodies(e.g. 330Neo, 787, 350) start to deli...

  • <<another member stated that A330s are only more efficient at short distances (3000 to 4000km)...>>There're @ least 4 pax variants in the <<A330s>> family launched by Airbus so far and none is @ a similar fuel efficiency level as the other namely:  332, 333, 338 and 3...

  • <<...787-9 carries more cargo than the A330-300.>>I was comparing belly cargo cap 789 vs 332, not 789 vs 333.  But U are still correct:789=LD3 x36 vs 333/339=LD3 x32Basically, the 789 is 1 hell of a cargo hauler for its size/seatcount because even the larger 359(Has a slightly lo...

  • Efficiency(I assume U meant fuel efficiency) gains fm new tech is just 1 of a few key factors in fleet type deployment decision by an operator. As mentioned in my reply/comment re the original article, daily utilization rate of a type(And therefore RoI for a company) also plays a major part(i.e. P...
