  • You can try to call their call centres and ask. Baring that, you'll have to ask at the check-in counter if they will interline your bags. I've found that post covid, many airlines don't want to interline bags even if they're part of the same alliance. Finnair say as much - https://www.finnair.com...

  • The qantas award search used to be one of THE best in the game, easy to use, lots of availability. Since covid, Qantas search had just been awful. And if an option isn't there, you have to restart the whole process and click through all the same settings and dates. So annoying

Honestly I find ET's over the top moderation no fun. Sometimes I would write a comment that is on the topic, but the part the mod team doesn't like - they change out or remove. Essentially the true essence of the comment is changed to suit the mod team (probably so they don't lose their sponsorsh...

  • St Regis or Ritz Carlton (Maldives)?

Planning to go next year, on points, does anyone have an experience of which resort is their preferred?

  • I've just tried this today, and I swear Qantas are still making reward bookings extrememly difficult to impossible. My steps:- Click on 'Where can I go' in search- Put in starting destination to anywhere, the class, and month and select classic rewards (for example, I put Sydney in December in Bi...

  • I've been trying to book reward seats from Aus to the Indian subcontinent in April (leaving it late, I know), and when I check Qantas, nothing really pops up. I tried perhaps planning a small trip to Dubai before, and when you choose SYD - DXB on the 14th of April for instance, on the Emirates we...

The moderators always feel free to edit your comments if they feel it's not in the best interest of their sponsors (aka could affect their $$$) or they think it's off topic to a post.. which is silly since since there is nothing wrong more interaction on the site (as long as it's not personal att...

  • Maybe try giving Qatar Airways a call for the latest information, if you're flying with them. I'd suggest closer to the date is best.

  • I couldn't find any F seats from Melbourne to Dubai in September, but I found some from Sydney to Dubai on Emirates. I compared it on both the Emirates and Qantas sites and I was actually surprised - it showed the taxes for both Airlines at $312 AUD (which is high), and what was more interesting ...

  • I know Qatar still are flying to Australia and continue to do so, but with smaller planes.

  • You should be able to call and they should be able to call Velocity and check this - I'm not an expert on Velocity but some airlines have region restrictions so they can't combine 2 flights into one to save.
