To be fair - being HON doesn't mean much unless you regularly fly through a LH hub.  If you do, it's amazing.  But to qualify takes double or triple the amount of flying that gets you P1 on Qantas.And if you don't, you're just a work-a-day Star Gold, which doesn't get you far in Australia.

Be interesting to see if this goes ahead.  15 years ago Deutsche Bahn was promising Frankfurt-London services in time for the 2012 Olympics.  Apparently the difficulties in mismatched signalling and electrical systems were such that it just never happened.  

Well I'm fully vaxxed and haven't been near a hotspot ever.And I've been tossing up between Thredbo and Queenstown for a week's skiing.  All else being equal, NZ would probably be cheaper.  But I don't need a test for Thredbo and less chance of being and the mercy of snap border closures.

Let's hope they start using proper china and cutlery soon.  You can't have business class with disposable tableware.

I know of some who were lucky enough to stay in the RAAF reserve after joining the airlines, who've been able to resume air force duties (including flying duties).  Useful insurance!
