• not a fan of having to sleep on an angle and i agree about the elbow constantly pressing buttons on the contril pad. SQ does try though, their service is always top notch, i reckon give whoever is in charge of cabin staff a crack in designing the next seat because they keep failing in this area e...

  • There was a thread on this not long ago, the award seats are virtually non existent, i myself have had issues even trying to book 6 months out. Perhaps soon there will be more available now that NZ is flying to Buenos Aires it gives us more options to reach south america. Must say thouh well done...

  • SQ has the variety of flights from Sydney and that allows for more flexibility. I usually leave on Sunday morning arrive early afternoon and am ready for a full day Monday. BA i have only flown twice however for $400 at check in the upgrade you to First which is lovely. The negative about SQ is ...

  • If you ever come across a bottle of 1897 Quinine Gin buy one, one of the best gins ive ever tasted.

  • Chris you are spot on, QF has got it right in my opinion as has VA. SQ up until about a year ago was like CX and then it stopped, i asked the cabin manager once about it and he said that there had been s o many complaints from passengers that management had no choice but to tone it down.

  • Agreed, Qantas has the superior product compared to the other airlines servicing Sth America.

  • I have made 5 trips to Sth America in the last 18 months, by far Qantas is the most reliable to get me to Santiago. I tried Air NZ twice (Buenos Aires) purely due to the fact i would be travelling on their 787. Both trips there and back the aircraft was changed for their older 777 which is nothin...

  • The issue that SQ has is that the people making these decisions are detached from the real world, they were never frequent travellers, didn't have to pay for their own flights, hotels etc. If they would just consult a group of people that have travelled for work for a good part of their working l...

  • unfortunatley there is no university degree in common sense.

  • i was just saying that to my colleague, everything they do is over complicated, too much thought goes into it and the execution is terrible.

  • nice, the Bose ones they use now are quite good i found but ive wanted to try these since reading a reviw on them and checking them out on the B&O website and they retail for over $700.

  • i now book flights that leave either before 9am or after Midday. Getting to the airport just to be dropped off is a disgrace. I know im spoilt as most of my travel is to Singapore and Changi is amazing for pick up and drop off, but even LAX was better 2 months ago than Sydney. Sydney needs anothe...

  • such a huge improvement on the old wide and hard business class offering. Those wide seats were horrible, didn't recline enough and had those silly cushions to make the seat narrower. Well done SQ a big improvement.

For an older property the building is maintained extremely well. Air con is sensitive and works perfectly as opposed to many other properties in Singapore where you either freeze in the room or overheat. Having a golden circle membership helps I've found, I'm diamond tier and have been upgraded 2...

  • thats what they sent me after i followed Chris instructions. 4 weeks.
