New Sydney Airport scanners let you leave laptops, liquids in your bag
May 26, 2022, 06:21 PMMost of the domestic screening area for Qantas in Perth is also behind walls at the moment, so hopefully that is getting an upgrade at the moment, especially as there are only 2 points open at present so makes for quite a wait at busy times.

Is Qantas planning a new domestic business class for 2023?
Oct 06, 2021, 05:33 PMI wouldn't bet on it. They had a shocking configuration in Business on the initial A330-200's for domestic. 2-3-2 with very limited legroom, then they took out the middle seat and added a 'tray table' cover for the middle seat. It took Virgin to force them to add decent business class to the A330...

Virgin cuts ties with BP as Qantas primes the (petrol) pump
Nov 30, 2019, 04:12 PMVery rarely use BP as they are just not competitive, this change does nothing to add value,so no change for me. Nothing lost, nothing gained.

Why BA's new business class has a door, but Virgin Atlantic's doesn't

Should employees be allowed to keep points earned on staff travel?
Apr 03, 2019, 03:16 PMYes. The interesting part of that was that at one point Aus govt. employees did not get points but of course the political masters did. I believe that has now changed and pollies no longer points either.

Review: Fiji Airways' new Boeing 737 MAX 8 business class seat
Dec 03, 2018, 07:35 PMThat seat would make for a much better experience when getting on one of the increasing buzzbox (737) transcontinental flights being run by both VA and QF.

Should Qantas, Virgin acknowledge members of Australia's armed forces?
Nov 05, 2018, 07:51 PMSadly it was probably listening to Scomo who started this conversation to try and give the govt. 'a win' and a 'feelgood' story. Sadly his tin ear missed the spot again.

What it’s like to fly on British Airways BA1 all-business-class flight
May 04, 2018, 11:44 PMI had a great flight on a Qatar all business Airbus a319. Very relaxed and great service on the flight from Doha to London. Very much like you're own private jet with only 40 seats.
