Virgin Australia teases “significant refresh” for Melbourne lounge
Jun 04, 2021, 03:54 PMDavid, we are astonished at Virgin's refusal to re-open the Cairns lounge. Cairns was one airport that was open and welcoming flights all through 2020 and is now buzzing in 2021 with domestic tourists. A lounge is more than warranted with nearly 18 hours of Virgin traffic from first to last fligh...

What are Virgin Australia lounges like in the COVID-19 era?
Nov 27, 2020, 03:37 PMFurious with the shabby treatment of Cairns by Virgin, the Brisbane~Cairns route having been a mainstay of VA through the pandemic and remaining high volume traffic.

Rex fast-tracks Brisbane for new Boeing 737 capital city network
Nov 06, 2020, 03:27 PMThe Queensland Premier has just flagged open borders to Victoria before Christmas (2020). That seems likely given a week of 0 cases and 0 deaths in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Review: how coronavirus has changed Qantas lounges for the better
Jul 01, 2020, 03:45 PMChuckles: Well I am now, see David's reply! Now all we need is to persuade inflight service is that handing a glass of vino in a gloved hand carries no more risk than passing a glass of H20.

Jul 01, 2020, 03:41 PMThanks dear David, that is good to know for the many of us, who like yourself, enjoy a good glass! Cheers, Merry

Review: how coronavirus has changed Qantas lounges for the better
Jul 01, 2020, 03:13 PMWe know all this, it is common knowledge via Qantas announcements and mainstream media. What I ,as a Business traveller paying J fares want to know is: are fine wines available in the lounges apres noon as per usual, since they are not available on flights. And if not why not, as they can be serv...

Mask up, don't mingle: new Qantas safety measures for passengers
May 20, 2020, 04:18 PMWhat a sick joke are Qantas 'safety measures'. Of course their Chief Medical Officer will say whatever s/he is told too. I contracted a Novel virus H1N2 on a Qantas flight (it was not present at either departure or arrival location) , and the 'Qantas virus' is a well known phenomenon. Bring on V...

Coronavirus: Qantas cuts Airbus A380 flights, drops Singapore-London
Mar 11, 2020, 04:26 PMSo what is happening with Bris-Sin, please? Is QF jettisoning that service and once again leaving it to SQ to pick up the fares and the loyalty? FYI Singapore has had no Covid-19 deaths, thanks to the Red Dot's experience with SARS.

Qantas Project Sunrise: 'super first class' plus more economy legroom
Nov 01, 2019, 03:10 PMAnything that results in additions to an aging, cracking fleet. Frankly I would be happy with a QF Contact Centre that was re-homed to Australia and spoke English! All glitter no substance.

Qantas promises more seats for frequent flyers
Jun 19, 2019, 03:48 PMIf it is a scheme concocted by the Irish Village Idiot who thought it was a great idea to ask people to 'volunteer' to work over Christmas with no prospect of work, it will not end well.

Qantas eyes Airbus A380 upgrade for Sydney-Tokyo
Jun 07, 2019, 03:52 PMExcuse me Chris, but Qantas is already doing Sydney-Haneda A380 flights, in a rather haphazard way. How is this common knowledge? I live in the Northern Beaches of Cairns and TWICE this year, we have had a Qantas A380 diverted from the Haneda Sydney route to Cairns. All other international flight...

Which airline has the best business class for Perth-Singapore flights?
May 10, 2019, 02:49 PMThank you Brandon Loo for a factual article. Please would you clarify which SQ flight or aircraft have the 1-2-1 configuration which I really prefer (don't we all!) SQ is definitely my preference. One flight a day from QF ia pathetic given that Changi is now QF's hub (thanks be!).

Qantas says Project Sunrise will redefine business class first class
Feb 22, 2019, 03:29 PMHeartened to know I am far from alone in wishing AJ a happy retirement in Ireland. In the meantime, pay for more personnel on the phones! It is becoming ludicrous to hear every. single. day 'We are currently experiencing heavier than usual calls'.

The best business class seats on Emirates' Boeing 777-200LR
Feb 22, 2019, 03:15 PMOh dear Emirates, 2-2-2 is not very 2019 (or earlier)! That configuration might work with a partner or friend, but for females who fly solo on business we infinitely prefer any reputable airline with a 1-2-1 configuration. (Double is ok when on leisure with husband but forget it for work.
