May 05, 2016, 02:48 PMIf you're sensitive about being criticised, that honestly doesn't matter to me.

May 05, 2016, 02:42 PMOK, I get it. You're happy to portray women in a misogynistic way. If that's OK in your opinion...

AusBT comment policy
May 05, 2016, 02:40 PMSo, you delete "comments which centre on how an article has been written or presented". And you call yourself journalists? Right-thinking people might see such avoidance of criticism as pretty gutless.

May 05, 2016, 02:31 PMJust to be clear, the image depicts a woman who is scantily clad and impossibly thin. In my opinion.

May 05, 2016, 02:29 PMBut the graphic somehow isn't? You can publish anything that is "just a photo", however objectionable? I'd say the case in point is that the image is completely off-topic to the article!

AusBT comment policy
May 05, 2016, 02:19 PMSo what you're claiming is that the content of a graphic attached to an article is off-topic? Is it not a pictorial representation that can be commented upon in the same way as the text?

Up to yesterday, I could see 4x VA business reward seats from Christchurch to Sydney via Brisbane on a date in Jan 2017.
May 03, 2016, 01:44 PMThey may well have been redeemed by a family. Or they were taken off reward inventory because enough revenue seats have been sold to render the flight "selling out". Or it was an error, because that seems a lot of reward seats on a 737 - especially in a busy month for family travel. Or there is n...

Anyone else noticed the trend towards alliance lounges?
Apr 27, 2016, 01:27 PMMostly. One "great" lounge isn't so great when a small number of flights all operate close together. That can and does overcrowd the lounge. It'll happen more frequently as the alliances sign on new members. Consider a port such as Queenstown, where until now about 90% of NZ trans-Tasman flights ...

I am flying from the Gold Coast to Melbourne in Business class, then mel to adl in economy, can i still use the lounge in Melbourne?
Apr 27, 2016, 12:21 PMIf you happen to have NZ Koru Club that'll get you into VA domestic MEL.

Arriving Emirates Business class to Christchurch, can I use Manaia lounge as an arrival lounge to freshen up prior to meeting in Christchurch city.
Apr 27, 2016, 12:19 PMSorry sgb but I don't believe so. At CHC you'll be directed from the aircraft straight to immigration. There's no path to the departures area because they don't do international to international connections, at least not on a regular basis.

Anyone else noticed the trend towards alliance lounges?
Apr 27, 2016, 12:16 PMIt's cheaper to share a lounge than have one dedicated to a particular airline, so I think the trend will continue apace. Overcrowding becomes an issue with so many carriers in one space.

QF1501 (ML-HB) canceled this morning and replace with Jetstart charter.
Apr 27, 2016, 09:38 AMOh and by the way, try getting a QF seat when your JQ metal is the one out of service. Ha ha.

QF1501 (ML-HB) canceled this morning and replace with Jetstart charter.
Apr 27, 2016, 09:37 AMWelcome to what happens when a legacy carrier also operates a LCC. This is not unusual in the rental car space either. Increasingly, Avis seem to think it's OK to substitute Budget vehicles - the latter are usually older and more worn - that if booked through Budget would have been cheaper e.g &n...

I recently bought American Airlines miles, with the presumption that i could obtain Qantas Status Credits (SC) when used.

Can anyone tell me why an airline would change $30 because I paid for an international ticket on an AMEX card?
Apr 23, 2016, 07:12 AMI've been told Poli is not as safe from hacking as credit card payments. $30 for that advantage is still a rip off.
