Good review Chris - thanks. A couple of questions please.Did the full overhead lockers carry the notice that you pictured in the review you made on the a321 ROM-ZRH flight?Have you had anyexperience with Helvetic airlines business class?

  • Singapore Airlines Melbourne Business Class Lounge does not offer Champagne on the last two visits I made in 2018. Their offering is a French Sparkling white which I suggested was a poor choice when many Australian Sparkling whites exist to promote our wines if they wanted to save money by withd...

  • looks a bit like the terrible CX - 747 layout I flew with in 2011. A coffin style as already said where no storage and the difficulty of turning made the journey AWFUL. never again!

  • I wonder how many crews they will need accomodate for a 20 hour flight? If only 2 I would hate to do the second half after spending the first 10 hours "resting". The loo comment is highly relevant for 300 passengers x 20 hours...

  • Not just Qantas it seems. My wife and I flew out of MEL November 14 to find the business lounge "Champagne" on ice was a French sparkling white. I asked what the First Class lounge was being served and received 2 glasses of Champers from there. The business champers remained Sparkling white. Th...

  • Interesting as SQ is replacing 320s with 737 on its daughter fleet of silkair. Maybe the once all Boeing Cathay will be all Airbus

  • Thanks Russell for the comment that MH was dry on intra Asia flights.  I had no idea - haven't flown them in years as their service was slipping and SQ and CX had better seating generally.

  • I agree totally. Far too long a sector from Perth irrespective of class. 14 hours to DXB tough. Sin-lhr wins.

  • Good to see this article and your confirmation they are all doing the same. Brexit may make the situation even more uncomfortable for those of us trying to save a few dollars.

  • Hi Chris, If Star Alliance have been following the same policy for years, as I know they have, and that is your reason for not reporting it as it is therefore not a new policy, surely with all the comments following your two articles on the Oneworld matter, you might have considered saying somew...

  • Hi Yanos - I am disappointed with ABT highlighting this matter again as a oneworld attitude.  As I wrote in reply to a previous article its the same policy as Star Alliance who caught me on it 3 years ago!  What Perth will do withy your bag tag I do not know, but I can assure y ou when ...

  • They do See my comment below. And just to add insult to injury at Changi their system showed my Lahr Stockholm flight but refused still to check me through

  • I got caught by same thing 3 years ago with Star Alliance.  I booked SQ Mel Sin Lhr with stopover in Sin and then online with SAS LHR Stockholm.  At Changi SQ refused to check my bag through as the SAS booking was not in their system. We had to collect baggage in LHR clear customs and c...

  • Have CX changed their seats. I flew last year Mel HKG MEL in a centre seat with my wife and my main complaints about the seat were 1.  The arm rests are at different heights. The inside arm is higher than the external one. 2.  The tray table was without real adjustment. 3.  ...

  • Agreed wholeheartedly Gippsflyer, its very unnatural and uncomfortable.  I also think they need do something about the tray table which cannot be pulled out when the seat is moved forward so ones feet can reach the foot rest shelf.  To me it's incredible CX keeps getting their business ...
