Wouldn't count MEL-SFO completely may be more likely from UA. The Victorian government is reportably trying to push it as part of their plan to attack Silicon Valley companies to set up offices in Melbourne

Apr 27, 2017, 01:35 PMSure we have seen some changes this week but over the past 2 years EY has gone from 1 77W flight to double daily, QR is now bringing the A380, CX has upgraded 1 flight to the 77W and 1 to the A350 this year and SQ is now back with the A380 and is adding an additional 4 weekly flight from May.

Jan 03, 2017, 11:11 AMIt will be interesting, prior to the decision on AA/QF it appeared that AA would be looking towards MEL in the near future, now that is in doubt (although we are now seeing QF 6 weekly on the 787 and VA return) I wonde if Delta will be more interested. Personally I would rather see UA on MEL-SFO....
